2013 China (Hunan) Red Culture Travel Festival Opens

The 2013 China (Hunan) Red Culture Tourism Festival themed “Beautiful and Worshipful Travel to Shaoshan” was unveiled in Shaoshan City, on the morning of October 29. Du Jiahao, governor of Hunan Province declared the opening of the festival. Shao Qiwei, minister of the China National Tourism Administration delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Hunan is home to abundant red travel resources, owing to its long-standing reputation as the cradle of Chinese Revolution and home to great proletarian revolutionists.

This festival was held to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mao Zedong. Four themed activities will follow the opening ceremony, including 300 enterprises’ joint investment in Shaoshan, inspiring experiences at the communist revolutionary base, train travel to Shaoshan and longing self-driving tour along young Mao Zedong’s road to communist revolution.
