2013 International Country Music Week Draws its Curtain in Zhangjiajie

The five-day Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week drew its curtain on the afternoon of September 4, 2013. The golden music notation wall of “Welcome to Zhangjiajie” made by all bands became a permanent commemorative symbol of the event.

Themed “World’s Natural Heritage, Our Country Music”, the event was celebrated by 8 domestic bands and 22 international bands from 20 countries including Australia, America, Russia, India and Turkey. During the festival, nearly 300 musicians put on 32 performances in six scenic spots of Zhangjiajie.  

Awards of best performance, best singer, best performer, best stage performance, best instrumental performance, best popularity and the star of continents were handed out at the closing ceremony. Asilong Group from Yunan Province, FRULICA from Serbia, Drum Tribe from South Africa, BALVANERA TANGO from Argentina and SPAGHETTI COWBOYS from Australia respectively won the award of the star of their own continents.
