39 Hunan-based Enterprises Invest in Indonesia

According to the Hunan-Indonesia Investment and Trade Promotion Fair held on January 12, 2014, 39 Hunan-based enterprises have invested in Indonesia. From January through November, 2013, Hunan and Indonesia realized the bilateral trade volume of 460 million USD, a year-on-year growth of 1.3%.

Xu Xiangping, Party secretary of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, said that Indonesia is an earlier market where Hunan-based enterprises make investment. The Indonesian Industrial Park, manufactured by Sany in Karawang in the west of Indonesia’s Java with an investment of 200 million USD, has become the first Chinese enterprise to have made large investment in Indonesian manufacturing sector.

This year, Hunan will actively participate in the construction of the maritime Silk Road economic belt, and strive to open the Changsha-Guangxi-Vietnam international freight trains and international passenger and cargo flights from Changsha Huanghua International Airport to ASEAN countries so as to create new  links with ASEAN countries. Efforts will be made to set up mutual offices in ASEAN and Hunan’s southwest city. In addition, construction of the province’s overseas industrial parks in ASEAN countries will be accelerated, to encourage more competitive enterprises to invest in the region.
