American Father of Country Music Introduces Hunan’s Scenery in His Book

The book “Stories from My Chinese Journey” written by Mark Levine was officially published on April 10. Mark Levine, an American writer, was also acclaimed as “Father of Country Music”. From a unique perspective and written with distinct methods, the book reveals the beauty of China to the whole world, especially that of Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town in Hunan.

Mark Levine shows special preference to Hunan’s landscapes in his book. Besides describing in the text the beautiful scenery and unique customs of the world natural heritage Zhangjiajie and China’s famous historical and cultural city Fenghuang, he also chose pictures of sceneries in the Ecological Square of Yellow Dragon Cave and Tianzi Mountain of Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town as the book’s front and back covers. Mark Levine said that Hunan left him a deep impression. He visited Hunan for six times in five years, and attended the Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week for three successive years, where he won the Special Contribution Award twice.
