Themed “Enjoying Leisure in Taohuayuan (Peach Blossom Land)”, the Changde Leisure Festival, one of the important activities of the 2013 Hunan International Tourism Festival, was held in Changde on September 18.
According to Wu Caixia, deputy director of the Changde Municipal Tourism Bureau, nowadays leisure travel is getting more and more popular. Changde, with rich resources in culture and leisure travel, has made great efforts to build itself into a top-level leisure city in China through following the trend of leisure travel. In the future, Changde will focus on setting up Taohuayuan brand, building Liuye Lake into a national 5A scenic spot, and promoting Changde into the best leisure city across the country.
A photography competition on Changde’s beautiful natural sceneries and cultural richness is set to be held. In addition, visitors are expected to enjoy some scenic spots in Changde free of charge during the festival.
