Hainan Airlines announced on March 9 that it will launch direct flight between Changsha to London from March 23. This will be the first nonstop flight linking Hunan and the UK.
At present, passengers flying from Changsha to London need to make at least one intermediate stop in Beijing or Hong Kong.
The opening of the Changsha to London route will shorten flight time between Changsha and London from more than 16 hours to 12 hours and 10 minutes.
The flight will fly three times a week, i.e. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and be operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It will depart from Changsha Huanghua International Airport at 11:20 (Beijing Time) and arrive at London Heathrow Airport at 16:30 (local time). The return flight will leave London at 22:00 (local time) and arrive in Changsha at 16:25 (Beijing Time).
During the opening of the route, a special offer will be introduced. The round-trip flight ticket costs 500 yuan and the tax 3,650 yuan (subject to current inquiry). The total fee will be approximately 4,150 yuan. More ticket information, please check the official website at HNAIR.
At present, six international direct flights have been opened, linking Changsha and Frankfurt, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Moscow, and Aswan.
