On april 16th, Changsha-Zhangjiajie Bicycle events with a distance of more than 300 kilometers will kick off in Changsha,Hunan provincial.Over 500 cyclists are down for the competition whose final destination is Zhangjiajie,an internationally renowned travel city.Wan Qikun,vice district mayor of Wulingyuan,Zhangjiajie,the sponsor of this event,introduced that the permission is granted by ROCN (Randonneurs of China)to organize this qualification trials of PBP(Paris-Brest-Paris),which is an international top bicycle events.
It is reported that ROCN,the only organization authorized by PBP in China,will hold the first session of PBP Randonneur with a distance of 1,200 km.Cyclists who intend to take part in this international competition must have entries.Entries can be won from qualification trials with a distance of 200km,300km,400km,600km.The Changsha-Zhangjiajie Randonneur is a qualification trial of 300 km whose route is along an attractive golden travel line with Hunan culture,sport and eco-travel.
According to the competition rules, in April 17th the awarding ceremony and an activity whose aim is to promote environmental protection and care for natural heritages are going to be held in Wulingyuan.
It is known that Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) is the largest,the most difficult,the oldest and the most influential bicycle event in the world with the greatest number of participants.Up to now,PBP is more than 120 years old and successfully held 18 sessions.
