The Seventh China (Hunan) Tourism Industry Exposition ended on December 25, 2016.
123,000 visitors participated in the Expo, contributing a trading volume of 21.36 million yuan, up by 20% and 54.78% year on year respectively.
The three-day Expo was themed with “Building region-based travel bases, and promoting travel as an agent of poverty alleviation”. Covering a total area of 30,000 sqm, the Expo consisted of creative pavilions displaying the images of 13 cities and one prefecture, 10 pavilions showcasing the images of region-based travel demonstration counties, and booths of Tianjin, Hainan, Zhejiang, and Taidong County of Taiwan. Cutting-edge travel topics, including VR, motor homes, camping, recreation, and health care and convalescence, were displayed. Chief Leaders of 10 cities, prefecture, and counties recommended their resorts to domestic and international visitors. 32 provincial model villages that have reduced poverty through travel, the driving force, showcased their achievements, attracting crowds of visitors.
This was the largest event that meets the highest standard of tourist industry in recent years. There were 732 tourist organizations participating in this Expo, recommending 1000 tourist routes and destinations. Several agreements of intention, such as Beauties Park project of Nanjing Urban Construction Investment Holding (Group), and Taojiang Flying Base project of Guangdong Flying Camp, were reached, worth over one billion yuan.
