The session of the city clusters in middle reaches of Yangtze River, one of the events at Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2013, was convened in the conference center of the BFA in south China’s Hainan Province on April 8. The session was jointly held by the four provinces in central China, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, and Anhui. Xu Shousheng, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the session and delivered a keynote speech.
At 12:00 that day, more than 200 important guests gathered at the session, including Yasuo Fukuda, chairman of BFA Board and former Japanese Prime Minister; Zeng Peiyan, vice chairman of BFA Board and former vice premier of China’s State Council; Zhou Wenzhong, secretary-general of BFA; Zhao Qizheng, former director of the Information Office of China’s State Council; and Long Yongtu, former secretary-general of BFA.
Secretary Xu said that the city clusters in middle reaches of Yangtze River are like shinning pearls on the golden waterway of the Yangtze River. With the development conditions of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster improving incessantly, he invited more global investors to central China and Hunan for investment and participation in construction of this city cluster.
