Delegates from African English-speaking Countries Visit Changsha

On the evening of May 18, Liu Lianyu, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress met in Changsha with the delegation from Trade Unions in English-speaking African Countries, having a friendly and pleasant conversation.

Ms. Liu briefed the guests on the current situation and union work of Hunan. She remarked that Hunan and Africa have been enjoying increasingly frequent exchanges in recent years. She hoped that, taking the visit as a golden opportunity, both sides would further contact, expand cooperation fields, and make active exploration in terms of standardizing labor export, safeguarding rights and interests of overseas workers and developing courses of travel and recuperation.

Chief of the delegation extended gratitude on behalf of all the delegates. He stated that English-speaking countries in Africa and Hunan enjoy sound cooperative foundation. Since Hunan has rich experience in union work, the delegation will bring its successful stories back to African countries, to further strengthen mutual cooperation and seek common development.
