Famous Italian Paintings to Be Exhibited in Changsha

As the work “Calla Lily” of Oscar Ghiglia, a noted Italian painter, was taken out from the wooden box on the third floor of the Eco Zone Planning Exhibition Center in the Pilot Area on the West Bank of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha on March 19, media reporters on the site could not help exclaiming. The other two works “Meadow of Prairie” and “The Bathing People” were also revealed to the public. The exhibition themed “Light and Shadow of Tuscany—Treasured Italian Paintings from 1850~1950” is scheduled to be held in Hunan Provincial Museum from March 29 to June 1. The three paintings are of the highest sum insured and artistic value among all the works from Italy. Their total sum insured reaches as high as 60 million yuan.
