France-China Pristine Music Festival Amazes Western Hunan

The France-China Pristine Music Festival was held at the Red Carbonate-Rock Stone Forest National Geopark of Xiangxi Tujia & Miao Autonomous Prefecture on Sept. 26, 2015. It is a well-prepared event integrating simple and beautiful music created together by musicians both from Centre Region of France and western Hunan during the past months.

The audience have their ears feasted not only by perfect integration of western instruments such as piano, bagpipes and drum kit and Hunan folk instruments including lusheng, leaf-whistling, but also by artists’ heart-touching voice.

It was learned that one million yuan will be offered to those who win the global collection contests on theme songs for Red Carbonate-Rock Stone Forest National Geopark and the Mud Festival, and Haozi (Labor Song) for Youshui River. The selected music works will be announced at next year’s Mud Festival on the third day of the third month of Chinese lunar calendar.

Deputy to Hunan Provincial People’s Congress and President of the National Geopark Zhong Fei remarked that the festival made a great contribution to strengthening the relation between Centre Region and western Hunan and promoting China-France culture exchange.
