To further strengthen ties between China and Germany and promote substantive exchanges between Changde and its sister city Hanover, a 13-member delegation from Germany led by Ms. Claudia Kruger, president of Hanover Fashion and Design School, began a five-day friendly visit to Changde on April 23 to develop cultural and artistic exchange activities.
Vice Mayor of Changde Chen Hua welcomed the guests when they reached Changde on April 23. The cultural and artistic exchange activities during the visit have opened a new chapter of friendly folk exchanges, and will play a constructive role in enhancing friendship, achieving great prospect and realizing common development of both sides in the future.
On April 24, the guests attended a practice teaching lesson of tie dye (a traditional craft in China) in Hunan University of Arts and Science. Later, they visited Changde Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Poetry Wall and Liuye Lake, experiencing local customs and culture.
