According to the news of November 21 from Eisenstaedt, capital of Burgenland in Austria, the modern folk paintings of Mayang Miao Autonomous County in Huaihua City, Hunan Province, were well received at the Sino-Austria Exhibition of Culture and Art Industry, attracting over 10, 000 visitors since November 8.
With local characteristics and elegant colors, these 40 exhibited paintings vividly depicted the new life in villages of the last 30 years since the Reform and Opening Up policy, creating a unique artistic style. The Austria-China Friendship Association selected seven out of the works for a national art exhibition in Austria in 2014.
