Currently Hunan has 393 A-level scenic spots, including 165 scenic spots (including 42 3A level or above) or 41.9% offering free admission to tourists.
Changde’s Taohuayuan Scenic Spot is Hunan’s first scenic spot that actively responds to the call put forward at China’s 2018 “Two Sessions” and takes the lead in reducing ticket price. Starting from May 10, the scenic spot ticket will be reduced from 180 CNY/person to 128 CNY/person. Its valid period is 3 days as usual.
As the first batch of China’s world geoparks and the first batch of national 5A-level scenic spots, Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Spot has also actively formulated price reduction plans to benefit more people.
In addition, Hunan scenic spots also formulate corresponding preferential policies for different tourist groups during tourist peak and off seasons. This year it is the first time that the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot in Chenzhou implements separate ticket prices during tourist peak and off seasons. Its off-season lasts from November to December, 2018, with ticket price reduced by 15-20 CNY.
