“Hunan Week” at the Astana Expo 2017 opens in China Pavilion in Astana, Kazakhstan from July 18 to July 20. It will offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy Hunan teas, drinks, and cuisine, and appreciate Hunan porcelain, culture, and beautiful sceneries.
The Astana Expo was launched June 10 and will last 93 days. Ten Chinese provinces are attending the event.
Hunan’s traditional products and crafts, such as tea, porcelain, embroidery, alcohol, and the beautiful scenery of Zhangjiajie, Langshan Mountian, and Dongting Lake, will be promoted. More than 80 Hunan companies will participate to demonstrate Hunan’s energy development. Among them are Zoomlion, Sany, Sunward, and HNAC Technology Co., Ltd., which are suppliers for the Expo’s main building construction.
The China Council for the Promotion of Industrial Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council Chairman He Jian announced that the Hunan delegation will have three main tasks: organizing “Hunan Week”; presenting the Hunan (Changsha)-Alma-Ata Project Promotion; and conducting business negotiations in the “Belt and Road” countries, such as Russia, Belarus, and Poland.
The expo theme is “Future Energy”. Hunan Development and Reform Commission Deputy Director and Hunan Energy Bureau Director Liu Nianlai announced that Hunan wind power, photovoltaics, and advanced manufacturing companies will be promoted at “Hunan Week”. They will negotiate cooperation with the Kazakhstan government and companies in order to facilitate Hunan’s participation in the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
