The Japanese and Chinese expert panel organized by the ASEM Water Resources Research & Development Center, started a four-day survey in Dongting Lake region on April 27. The survey is an important part of the National Key S&T Special Project, “Integration and Application Demonstration of Ecological Villages & Towns and Key Technologies of Environment-Friendly Agriculture”.
The experts made a survey at Hi-Tech Bio-Agro Co., Ltd. Its president Yang Li has been committed to ecological protection of Dongting Lake, and rented 1,800 mu (120 hectares) of land on the shores of the lake to cultivate improved wetland woods, hoping to explore approaches to environment-friendly agriculture and wetland protection in terms of replanting and improving soil and precision operation. The panel highly commended “Hi-Tech Pattern”.
The Japanese experts mainly came from Shiga-ken, specializing in environment-friendly agriculture, water and soil conservation, fish and rural planning. Shiga-ken has accumulated advanced experience in water environment treatment, precision agriculture and environment-friendly agriculture through the ecological improvement of Biwako, which is worth learning from.
