Huanghua Airport Witnesses a New Height for Traveler Flow with Thailand Traffic Increasing by 79.8%.
According to the Changsha Border Defense Inspection Station, from the early morning of Feb. 9 to 17 o’clock of Feb. 13, the Changsha Huanghua International Airport handled 67 international flights and received 8,100 passengers in total, up 10% and 12.4% respectively compared with the same period of last year. And as the China Southern Airlines, Oriental Thai Airlines and Jet Asia Airways opened over 30 flights from Changsha to Bangkok and Phuket one after another, the airport saw over 2,000 mainland visitors heading for Thailand for travelling during the festival, a year-on-year rise of 79.8%.
According to the relatively increase of flights during the Spring Festival, especially late at night or early in the morning, with most passengers being tourists, the Changsha Border Defense Inspection Station adjusted their service schedule duly by enhancing front line police force disposition. Meanwhile, the station strived to create an amicable, warm and speedy environment through such measures as setting a first-responder responsibility system, opening green channel for people with special needs (the elderly, sick, disabled, pregnant and passengers with urgent needs) and adding channels for Chinese citizens.
