According to Shao Qiwei, director of the National Tourism Administration, agritainment, originating from Chendu, capital of Sichuan Province, has gained prosperity in Changsha. Changsha has even been commended by Central Media as the hottest city nationwide for agritainment.
With the rise and rapid development of agritainment, the rural travel in Changsha has gradually upgraded into an industry.
At present, there are more than 1,600 farmer’s houses in the city. A rural travel industrial cluster has been progressively shaped connecting Changsha County, Kaifu District of Changsha City, Wangcheng County and Liuyang County. Moreover, a rural travel industrial circle has been formed within 30 kilometers of Changsha, in which the economy, society and ecological efficiency realize balanced development, according to the statistics retrieved from Changsha Tourism Bereau.
This Data also showed that the total revenue brought by rural travel industry amounted to 3.58 billion yuan last year, leading to the increase of 640 million yuan to farmers’ income.
