Thailand to Launch Direct Tourist Charter Flight to Zhangjiajie

A direct tourist charter flight between Zhangjiajie and Bangkok of Thailand will be launched for the first time during the Thailand Water-Sprinkling Festival, making as short a journey as 3 hours and 20 minutes.

The 3-day Thailand Water-sprinkling Festival will be held from April 13 to 15. Six charter flights operated by the Orient Thai Airlines on March 28, April 2, 11, 12, 16 and 17 respectively will fly between Bangkok and Zhangjiajie. The flight departs from Bangkok at 9:00 am, and reaches Zhangjiajie at 12:20 am. Then it leaves Zhangjiajie one hour later and arrives in Bangkok at 16:40 pm on the same day.

Great breakthroughs will be made through launching this flight. The Bangkok-Zhangjiajie tourist charter flight is the first air route to Southeast Asia since Zhangjiajie Airport's operation. Thailand will become Zhangjiajie's third country of final destination after South Korea and Japan. In addition, Zhangjiajie's tourists can fly to Bangkok in groups directly, initiating the two-way group travel for Zhangjiajie and Bangkok tourists.
