The Nameplate Ceremony of Zhangjiajie 2013 “Culture Heritage Day ” Unveiled

On the upcoming of the eighth “Culture Heritage Day”, the unveiling ceremony of the Zhangjiajie 2013 “Culture Heritage Day”–the national key culture relics protection unit is officially held in Shi yangping village, Wang jiaping county, Yongding district. Yu huaiming, member of the municipal standing committee and director of the propaganda administration, attends the ceremony and unveils the nameplate for the national key culture relics protection unit.

Zhangjiajie has rich historic and cultural heritages, with seven national key culture relics protection units, nineteen provincial key culture relics protection units and 732 intangible cultural heritages. In this time, Sangzhi folk song is honored “Hunan’s top ten glamorous tangible cultural heritage project”, and lantern festival the national five famous festivals. Besides, Shi yan ping village, located in Zhangjiajie’s southeast border and selected as national key culture relics protection unit, is the place of China’s biggest Tujia Diao jiao building community, belonging to Hunan’s famous travel village and provincial culture relics protection unit.

On the ceremony, relevant leader reads out documents about setting Shi yanping ancient architecture complex as national seventh key culture relics protection unit, and conferring it “China’s Traditional Villages”, “Zhangjiajie Shi yanping Tujia Ecomuseum”.

After the ceremony, the leaders present appreciate Tujia rammers’ work chants, picking tea leaves songs and other folk custom performances.
