Zhangjiajie Tianmenshan on 2011 Wingsuit Flying through Tianmen Mount, a documentary produced by a Hong Kong entertainment corporation, has been awarded the Best Feature at the 2013 Banff Mountain Film Festival. It is the first time for documentary on extreme sports held in China to have won such a prominent prize.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, launched in 1976, is held on the first weekend of November each year at the Banff Center, Canada, and features a collection of short films and documentaries on outdoor culture from all over the globe. Credited as Oscar in the field of outdoor documentary as well as the world documentary film vane, the prestigious mountain festival highlights extreme sports, outdoor expeditions, mountain cultures, environment and some of the world's last great wild places.
Right after the festival in November, a selection of the best films goes on a world tour. By then, hundreds of millions of viewers around the world will be able to enjoy a fantastic wingsuit flying documentary, and appreciate the splendid scenery in Zhangjiajie, especially the magnificent Tianmen Mountain through a unique perspective.
