World’s highest glass skywalk gets off the ground

Chinese workers install the first glass panel in a skywalk spanning the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in Zhangjiajie city, central China’s Hunan province, Jan 27, 2016. At 430 meters long and 300 meters above the canyon floor, the glass-floored bridge will be both the longest and highest of its kind in the world. It is set to open in May. The stunning mountain scenery of the already famous tourist destination is known to movie fans as the inspiration for the magical “Floating peaks” in Avatar.

The bridge, offering a panorama of the canyon, is not for the faint hearted.
