Yuelu Mountain Prepares for National 5A Tourist Attraction Assessmen

The working conference on Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area’s declaring National 5A Tourist Attraction was held on July 22 in Changsha. 5A (AAAAA) is the top class in the normative grading system for quality standardization and evaluation of tourist attractions (areas/spots) in China.

Changsha Mayor Zhang Jianfei stressed that Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, the name card of Changsha City, is a key venue for leisure, travel and patriotism education. Declaring National 5A Tourist Attraction is a hard task to be carried out within a limited time and under a strict requirement of high quality.

Concerned department should take this opportunity to upgrade the hardware and software environment in this area, ensuring a sound implementation of the renovation suggestions from Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau. Projects and index that fall below a certain level must fulfill the plan by the end of July.

It is revealed that Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area will take Yuelu Mountain, Orange Isle, Yuelu Academy, and Xinmin Institute as a whole to create and declare a national 5A-level tourist attraction.

The preparation has now entered the sprint stages, striving to receive the assessment from China National Tourism Administration in August and realize the promotion within this year.

Vice Mayor Chen Xianchun attended the conference.
