On 10th July this year,Zhangjiajie Mayor Zhao xiaoming met vice mayor Jean Paul Aldi of Perpignan France and his delegation .Both sides attended the signing ceremony of jumelage LOI( letter of intent).
In the ceremony,vice mayor Liushuhua and Aldi respectively on behalf of Zhangjiajie and Perpignan cities signed on the sister cities LOI.On the basis of equality and mutual benefit ,both sides will conduct cooperation and communication in fields of economy,trade,culture,education ,etc with various forms.
Perpignan located in southern France is a city famous for travel ,which closes to Mediterranean . In the meeting ,Mayor Zhao xiaoming introduced Zhangjiajie’s natural heritage protecting conditions as well as the development of economy .He said Zhangjiajie is one of the most popular and well-knowned travel attraction in China with the out-of-print quartz sandstone landscape__Zhangjiajie Landscape . Meanwhile Perpignan, is a beautiful city too.Our two cities are similar in travel industry .In closing , Mayor Zhao xiaoming hope both sides take the opportunity to enhance mutural friendship.
Aldi expressed appreciation for Zhangjiajie’s achievements of economy development and environmental protection .He also pointed Zhangjiajie natural sceneries impressed him so much that he and his delegation will promote it to French people.Through this visit,Aldi asserted Zhangjiajie is a lively and attractive city ,which attaches great importance on sustainable development .For cooperation ,he said the two cities exist huge potencial.
At present,Zhangjiajie city have twinned with six cities ,such as Naruto City Japan, Hadong-gun Korea, Canillo of The Principality of Andorra.The mutural development and communication of sister cities provide a broader stage and more space for Zhangjiajie ‘s external exchange and opening up.
