Together with Xinjiang Yining Airport, Hubei Xiangyang Airport, Heilongjiang Mudanjiang Airport,Jiangxi Jiangangshan Airport and Jilin Changbaishan Airport, Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport was honored with “China’s Best Tourist Feeder Airport” by Chinese travel association professional committee of civil aviation travel.
Since its opening in 1994, Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport combines travel industry of western Hunan with air travel. Successively, Hehua airport establishes Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen flights. Zhangjiajie government also comes on preferential travel ticket. In 2011, Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport was upgraded to Zhangjiajie Hehua international airport.
