Under the theme of “Caring City-Green Going-out activity”, “No Car On Sept 22” is a national call to enhance the awareness of environment protection. It aims to emphasize urban sustainable development, making people pay more attention to choose a green going-out lifestyle for the benefit of reducing energy consumption and influence for the pollutant to environment. On September 18th，Zhangjiajie Government teams in charge of the activity release an initiative and appealed all the citizens to answer the call. During September 22, the cars for government use are prohibited, except cars on duty and special vehicles. So citizens should give up private cars and motorcycles, only choose public traffic, waking or bicycles.
To be more specific, between 7:30 to 15:00, the prohibited place for private cars and motorcycles are Yongding urban area in Jiefang road, Huitong road and Renming road. The promotion materials and surveys for “No Car On Sept 22” will be issued to the citizens. They will also sign their names on the banners which advocated them a green going-out activity and increase the environmental protection awareness. For students in the downtown, they will watch a promotion video for that no car day and have booklets, which is to encourage them to living a low-carbon lifestyle.
