“Beautiful Countryside” construction activity that initiated by National Ministry of Agriculture in Feb, 2013 has released its final result: 1,100 countrysides across the nation has been selected into the “Beautiful Countryside” pilot project, among which Zhangjiajie Shiyangping village becomes the only one that is selected from the region.
Located in the southeast of Zhangjiajie Yong ding district, Shiyangping village covers an area of 1,700 hectares. It has preserved 182 Tujia Diaojiao buildings that constructed in Ming and Qing dynasties and has a long history, beautiful environment and strong-favor of Tujia folk customs, which make it become one of the most preserved primitive Tujia tribes in south China. In 2012, Zhangjiajie Shiyangping village was confirmed the first group of traditional countryside across the country; in May this year, The State Council officially confirmed it as the national key cultural relic protection unit. In recent years, with the speedy development of Zhangjiajie’s culture and travel, Zhangjiajie Shiyangping village becomes widely known with tourists packed in here.
After the selection of “Beautiful Countryside” pilot project, These pilot countrysides will get fund supports from Ministry of Agriculture in terms of marsh gas construction, farmer training, argicultural technology promotion and rural clean project, etc. It is no doubt that Shi Yang Ping village’s selection will bring a new chance for it in its agriculture production, cultural travel, village protection and facility construction.
